Local gentleman Graham McGregor, a regular visitor to Hardie Park with his grandchildren, sadly passed away last month.
Grandsons from Suffolk, Austin 13 and Aidan 11 came to say goodbye to their Grandad and also visited the park to hand over £350 collected in his memory at the funeral. They have requested half of the donation go to the Hardie Park Gardeners and half to the park fund.
Nikki Pegrum, Cafe Supervisor said, ‘We are really touched that Graham and his grandchildren thought so much of the park and are pleased that it has helped create wonderful memories for the family. The donation is gratefully received.’
Flowers picked from the Hardie Park garden were sent with love from all the volunteers and supporters of the park.
Graham will be sadly missed.
Graham’s granddaughter Kassi also raised and donated £140 with her recent cake sales for the park. (see article below).
